Roles at Doerr Construction

As a general labourer at Doerr Construction, you are expected to perform various manual tasks including:
Lifting, shoveling and moving heavy materials
Building, setting up and dismantling formwork
Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment used in concrete construction
Keep tools, equipment and jobsite clean and maintained
Communicating professional with customers

As a foreman at Doerr Construction, you would play a key role in ensuring all aspects of a job are kept on track, and regularly communicating progress with the owner. You are expected to do the following:
Overseeing jobs from start to completion including formwork placement, concrete placement, finishing and jobsite cleanliness
Reading all blueprints, drawings and plans associated with a job to ensure accurate work
Evaluating resources required for different jobs such as labour, materials, disposal bins, etc., and maintain accurate records of the amount used for each job
Managing and resolving all issues that arise throughout the job
Delegating tasks and providing task to concrete labourers
Communicating professionally with the customer

As a boom truck operator at Doerr Construction, you are responsible for safely operating company equipment, and are expected to do the following:
Completing customer deliveries safely and efficiently according to schedule
Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures
Performing machinery safety and maintenance checks
Operating crane to lift, move and load various materials
Ensuring proper load securement of materials, strapping, etc.
Proactively inspect clearances, overhead lines, and any other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads or equipment
Regularly communicating with company owner to inform them of completed deliveries and delays
Communicating professionally with customers
DZ license required

As a total station operator at Doerr Construction, you ensure the accuracy and precision of our projects, and are expected to do the following:
Calibrating total station to control points
Conducting grade checks as needed
Preparing CAD files and 3D models to facilitate construction layout
Communicating professionally with the customer

Students must be 18 years old in the calendar year in order to be eligible for a job at Doerr Construction.
