As a general labourer at Doerr Construction, you are expected to perform various manual tasks including:

• Lifting, shoveling and moving heavy materials

• Building, setting up and dismantling formwork

• Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment used in concrete construction 

• Keep tools, equipment and jobsite clean and maintained

• Communicating professional with customers

As a foreman at Doerr Construction, you would play a key role in ensuring all aspects of a job are kept on track, and regularly communicating progress with the owner. You are expected to do the following:

• Overseeing jobs from start to completion including formwork placement, concrete placement, finishing and jobsite cleanliness 

• Reading all blueprints, drawings and plans associated with a job to ensure accurate work

• Evaluating resources required for different jobs such as labour, materials, disposal bins, etc., and maintain accurate records of the amount used for each job

• Managing and resolving all issues that arise throughout the job 

• Delegating tasks and providing task to concrete labourers

• Communicating professionally with the customer

As a boom truck operator at Doerr Construction, you are responsible for safely operating company equipment, and are expected to do the following:

• Completing customer deliveries safely and efficiently according to schedule

• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures

• Performing machinery safety and maintenance checks

• Operating crane to lift, move and load various materials

• Ensuring proper load securement of materials, strapping, etc.

• Proactively inspect clearances, overhead lines, and any other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads or equipment

• Regularly communicating with company owner to inform them of completed deliveries and delays

• Communicating professionally with customers

DZ license required

As a total station operator at Doerr Construction, you ensure the accuracy and precision of our projects, and are expected to do the following:

• Calibrating total station to control points

• Conducting  grade checks as needed

• Preparing CAD files and 3D models to facilitate construction layout

• Communicating professionally with the customer
