The Forming of Doerr Construction

Doerr Bros. Construction started out in Walkerton, Ontario in 1976 operating until 2003 when the company dissolved and one brother, Carl, remained. Carl continued to provide the same service that Doerr Bros. started and maintained for 30 years.

Current owner, Ted Zettel started out as a summer student at Doerr Construction. He went on to work elsewhere, building competency and experience, and eventually made his way back to working full time at Carl J. Doerr Construction. Ted took time to build his skills and understanding of the business, becoming foreman in 2010, and purchasing the company in 2016. He remains the owner and main operator today, alongside his wife Leslie.

With many years of industry experience, and his constant presence at Doerr Construction over the years, Ted possesses an excellent understanding of all aspects of the concrete business from planning to interacting with customers, making him a reliable and trustworthy business owner in the trade.

Partners in Life and Business

Co-owners, business partners, and husband and wife, Ted and Leslie Zettel are the duo who manage and maintain all aspects of Doerr Construction.

Interact with Ted in all aspects of the planning process from estimates, review, purchasing and invoicing. He works directly with the concrete crew, overseeing every job from start to finish, communicating directly with the foreman and ensuring top notch service across all aspects of Doerr Construction jobs.

Leslie is a great asset on the administrative side, keeping the books, larger projects and purchases in line.
